Inspiring things I have found this week
Still feeling quite frustrated about my back, not being able to fully get back to normal. I seem to be able to potter a little around the house, but take me outdoors, and it’s a whole different ball game. The one thing that has been keeping me sane, is my ability to be able to sit down now which I couldn’t do for 3 weeks. So I can work and do my blog yay!
I have been inspired by my son this week, because he has been doing his second university graphics degree project, and has been filling in a sketchbook like a crazy mad man. This got me thinking that I could just have a sketchbook to have on me and fill it up with my ideas and mood boards just for me to look back on. It was so visual and had lots of paper cuttings glued in, not just sketches, so I am going to trundle off to Paperchase asap, as soon as I can walk, or I may order online, and buy a few. I am noticing I am going through notebooks pretty quickly these days and I do love a good notebook don’t you?
Have I signed my life away? No simply joined to a year photography class, which is free and is called A Year with my Camera, and by doing this I hope to become a much better photographer. It is a lady called Emma Davies, and she also has a workbook to go along with the course which you can buy from Amazon and is very reasonably priced.
Visually I have been focusing on this year’s new trends. It’s exciting, and I can’t wait to share with you what is going to be in magazines, on Instagram, and featuring in homes, across the globe. Restaurants and Hotels often lead the way in trends and ideas to help influence us on how we can produce an amazing home. I have decided this year not to bombard my followers with everything, but share weekly a focus of one new trend I think you’re going to love. First being Hexagonal tiles! Oh yes, they are dramatic in an understated way and will leave a new way forward from metro tiles I believe.
I have come across some amazing new blogs, that have put a huge smile on my face and made me feel inspired to read more, and feel good about myself, as a fashion lover, and as a Mum. There were so many which I will keep telling you about, but this week has to go to Elle Yeah! a fabulous fashion blog, that is just my style. I loved it and can’t wait to read more. The other was Craftonsea.co.uk which made me feel I will never ever again wonder what creative things I can do with my 6-year-old love it!
For Christmas, we bought my 6-year-old a book, It had the most exciting cover, and in Waterstones, it is easy to get drawn into the lovely books and new book smell. I am sure Waterstones deliberately have air conditioning wafting new book smell around the store, so you will spend a fortune! Anyway, it was called A Boy called Christmas by Matt Haig. I had never heard of him before, even though he comes from Sheffield! but this book is so good, I am desperate to read every chapter to my little boy, as I can’t wait to hear what happens next! I just found it on Amazon so cheap, so if you’re not wanting to read a Christmas story in January, you could buy it and put it away for next year.
Right off to buy some nice spanking new notebooks for my creative year ahead 🙂 x

July 27, 2017 at 6:53 amI do agree with all the concepts you have offered on your post.
They are very convincing and will certainly work. Still,
the posts are very quick for beginners. May you please lengthen them
a bit from next time? Thanks for the post.
